Crown Molding

Postby beawoodwrkr » Tue Jun 16, 2009 8:35 am

Just finished a project to install crown molding in our bedrooms (2). This was taken on to cover up some unsightly joints between the walls and the ceiling. Of course it is something that I had never done and that was part of the reason as well!

Anyway it took a little longer than expected, but the result looks pretty good. Definetly better than the way it looked before! Wife was a big help in holding the stuff while fussing it into place. I can tell you there were many trips between the miter saw and the bedrooms.

Probably if I had it to do again, I would remove everything from the room and set the miter saw up right there on-sight so to speak. This would make it go faster and be a better fitting piece.

The only crown molding in my future will be on the cabinets (later in the year). And other furniture projects of course. :)
